What is Microchanneling?
Procell Microchanneling is a noninvasive procedure designed to stimulate your body’s own natural ability to generate collagen, elastin, and other building blocks of healthy skin. By stimulating the outermost layers of the skin, microchanneling can help your body start this process without penetrating into living tissue.
How does Microchanneling work?
A small device is used to create thousands of tiny puncture holes, (microchannels), into the skin to facilitate healing. By stimulating the outermost layers of the skin, this treatment amplifies your body's natural process of generating healthy skin.
What will Microchanneling do for me?
Microchanneling treatments can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, stretch marks, and rosacea.
What is the difference between MicroNeedling and Procell Microchanneling?
While both treatments deliver similar results, Microchanneling does not “tear” the skin the way Microneedling can, and is more comfortable with less downtime. Procell Microchanneling also delivers hyaluronic acid, Stem Cytokines™, and other healing elements during your actual treatment that soothe the skin and increase results.
What is a Microchanneling session like at LaVida?
In a private skincare room, your esthetician will analyze your skin and discuss with you any particular areas of concern. After taking “before” pictures, your skin will be cleansed and an alcohol solution will be applied to sterilize the surface area before treatment.
As part of your Microchanneling treatment, we provide you with a complimentary Celluma Light Therapy session while using the serum mask to help speed the recovery process. After your Microchanneling treatment, you will be given small serums to speed your skin’s regeneration at home, and we encourage drinking lots of water.

While results are often seen in one treatment, usually 2-3 treatments for fine lines and wrinkles are necessary, and 5-6 treatments for scarring or skin tightening is recommended. Discounted packages are available.
How often can I receive Microchanneling treatments?
We recommend treatments every 4 weeks, as the skin typically takes 3 weeks to regenerate fully between each treatment.
When will I see results from my Microchanneling and how long will they last?
You will see initial results within days, however you will see continued improvement in your skin as it heals itself over the next 1-3 weeks. Please book your appointments 4 weeks apart.
This is a permanent result, however this new skin can also become stressed or damaged if not taken care of!
Is Microchanneling painful?
Most clients report mild discomfort during the treatment and a feeling of tightness and heat to the treated area afterward. You can get a topical anesthetic from your healthcare provider if you feel you need it.
Is there any down time after my Microchanneling treatment?
After the session, your skin will be pink or red in appearance for the first hour and normally dissipates completely within 24 to 48 hours. You can use a quality mineral makeup within 90 minutes of treatment.
