What is Laser Hair Removal and what will it do for me?
Tired of unsightly hair? Tired of shaving? Tired of nicks and cuts right before that special occasion? You may want to consider a more long-term solution.
Say goodbye to unwanted hair—for good!

Laser hair removal uses a special light to target the root of the hair (called the follicle). The light heats the follicle and stops it from growing new hair. You’ll see less hair after each session—and most people see long-term results after a few treatments.

At LaVida Massage, Skincare & Wellness, we use the Cynosure Apogee Elite™ Laser, a top-of-the-line machine that helps you get smooth, hair-free skin safely and effectively.

What is a Laser Hair Removal Treatment like with the Cynosure Apogee Elite™?
You will start by booking a FREE CONSULTATION were a licensed and certified esthetician will talk with you about your skin, your hair, and your goals. We will customize a treatment plan that’s just for you—so you get the best results.

Your licensed Esthetician will bring you to your private room, discuss your paperwork and your goals and leave you to get cozy on the table. Your session begins in a comfortable, heated bed with soothing music.

Your session begins with an analysis and gentle cleanse of your skin. Your esthetician will cover your eyes to protect them from the light. You may feel a slight stinging (like a rubber band snap) as your skin gets used to the light therapy. You can ask your esthetician to lower the settings if you feel uncomfortable during your session. When your session is over, your esthetician will remove the gel and give you a cool gel pack for any discomfort.

Side Effects...
The main side effects of laser therapy are mild, temporary swelling, redness, and an occasional superficial blister (like a sunburn blister). Rarely, there is bruising, which can take 1-2 weeks to resolve.
How many Laser Hair Removal treatments will I need?
At any one time, not all hair follicles are ‘active’. Only active hair follicles can be affected by the treatment. ‘Inactive’ hair follicles can be treated as they become ‘active’ over time. A series of treatments is required to remove most visible hair because of this cycle. On average, 6-8 sessions are generally needed spaced 4-6 weeks apart for effective Laser Hair Removal.
