What is a Pagani STAR™ T-Shock Treatment?
Targeted Cryotherapy is a treatment that stimulates blood flow to injured or sore muscles and joints. It is used to reduce inflammation, swelling and pain in specific areas of the body introducing alternating cold and warming phases. This stimulates recovery via cellular regeneration in the cells. Our Targeted Cryo Thermal Shock Therapy or “Cryo T-Shock” Therapy targets a specific area of the body for 6-10 minutes. Cryo Thermal Shock Therapy is a non-evasive, targeted approach to pain reduction, healing, and recovery.
How does it work?
This targeted form of Cryotherapy promotes muscle healing, significantly reduces inflammation, and aids repair and recovery utilizing cryotherapy thermal shock. Cryo T- shock therapy utilizes Peltier cell technology to generate heat or cold on the site to deliver the desired effect on the body. The Cryo T-shock alternates between various temperatures and time sequences. This process is also known as thermal shock, which begins with a warming phase and is followed by rapid cooling and ends with a warming phase. This triple shock sequence combines both temperatures to “shock” the cells, optimizing the results.

Treatments for “pain management” can be performed every 2-3 days. Beneficial cells are not affected by this treatment and any dead cells are evacuated by means of the lymphatic system and will eventually pass through the kidneys.
What is a session like?
This therapeutic service is designed to have immediate results. After you fill out your intake form complete with medical history, your LaVida Therapist will bring you to a relaxing, private room to discuss your goals and any concerns. The area being treated will be assessed and lightly massaged to prepare the tissue. In a brief 6 to 10-minute procedure, a gel is applied to protect the skin as the smooth glide of the wand transmits regulated heat and cold temperatures. These treatments are known to reduce inflammation, increase circulation, relieve pain caused by injury, treat arthritis, relax sore muscles, assist post-surgical care, and speed recovery.

- Come in with clean skin
- Wear loose clothing so that we can reach the targeted area (or we will drape you on a heated massage bed if needed to effectively reach targeted area.)

Are there any side-effects from Targeted Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is painless and soothing. However, common, minor side effects for any type of cryotherapy are numbness, tingling, redness, and irritation of the skin. These side effects are almost always temporary. If any irritation or discomfort persists longer than 24-48 hours, it is recommended you follow-up with a licensed Physician.
Who should NOT receive Targeted Cyrotherapy?
Cryotherapy is not recommended for clients with
- Acute chest pains
- High blood pressure
- Severe Diabetes
- Active Cancer
- Ongoing Chemotherapy
- Respiratory illness
- History of Seizures
- Circulatory disorders or stroke
- History of Cardiovascular disease (consult your physician)
- Raynaud’s syndrome history (cold hands and feet)
- Pacemakers or stent, metal implants
- Children younger than 11 (consult your physician)
How many sessions will I need?
Every treatment program is different and will be discussed with your therapist. If your doctor has recommended this treatment, please bring script with recommended treatment. Sorry, we do not accept insurance at this time, but are happy to provide receipts of service.
How often can I receive treatments?
T-SHOCK Targeted Cryotherapy can be performed every 2-3 days.
When will I see results and how long will they last?
T-SHOCK Targeted Cryotherapy will trigger cellular regeneration. Results will vary based on the injury, symptoms and lifestyle of each individual.
