Why LaVida Oils?
Purity Testing
Over the years our manufacturer has established long-standing relationships with many of our growers, which help us assure the quality and availability of the raw materials used for our essential oils. However, factors such as global market conditions and unanticipated weather events can affect the supply of certain oils from season-to-season. When supply is constrained there is concern regarding quality. Over the years we’ve seen examples of dilution, substitution, and even the use of synthetic alternatives masquerading as their natural counterparts.
Checks & Balances
How do we consistently assure the identity and purity of our essential oils? Our manufacturer utilizes state-of-the-art testing and analysis as well as numerous checks and balances, including:
- Identity and purity testing
- Use of The Essential Oils compendium by Ernest Guenther, Ph.D. and Fenaroli’s Handbook of Flavor Ingredients, edited by George A. Burdock, Ph.D., to verify the correct essential oil species
- Supplier/grower track record of providing high quality materials
- Aroma comparisons
- Review of essential oil processing to ensure that appropriate extraction methods are used
- Appropriate cautionary and regulatory language
No chemical solvents
In no instance is the use of chemical solvents permitted for products labeled as pure essential oils, nor are any chemical additives permitted to enhance (adulterate) the oils.
Cruelty Free
All of our oils are vegan. None of our oils are tested on animals.
How can we offer such low prices?
We’ve established long-standing relations with our essential oil vendors. Our manufacturer’s founder said it best, “The question shouldn’t be why are our prices so low, but rather, why do our competitors price their products so high?” We use the same quality essential oils as other companies; we just choose to price our essential oils with the best interests of the consumer in mind.
ESSENTIAL OILS
EUCALYPTUS
$ 9.99
Eucalyptus trees are commonly referred to as gum trees due to their high content of volatile eucalyptus oil. Their oil content is so pervasive that large stands of eucalyptus trees will often have a blue haze surrounding their crowns during warmer months due to oil droplets dissipating into the air. In fact, the Blue Mountains of Australia are named after this phenomenon.
Eucalyptus has a strong camphoraceous aroma that’s revitalizing, invigorating and clarifying.
Common Uses:
- Sinus and nasal congestion
- Cough and cold
- Topical application for soreness
FRANKINCENSE
$14.99
Frankincense is the name of the fragrant resin of certain species of Boswellia tree. In ancient times frankincense was a valuable trade commodity, primarily as incense for use in religious ceremonies, and was also used as an herbal medicine. Frankincense is one of the few essential oils that improve with age.
Frankincense has a unique fragrance with hints of camphor and citrus that’s ideal for relaxing, focusing and centering.
Common Uses:
- Immunity Support

Lemon oil has a perky, citrusy, sweet-and-sour aroma that’s refreshing, cheerful and uplifting.
Common Uses:

- Uplifting
- Restful
PEPPERMINT
$14.99
A member of the genus Mentha, peppermint is actually a hybrid of spearmint, water mint and possibly forest mint, which are other species in the Mentha genus. Its name, peppermint, owes to the unique, slightly peppery undertone found only in this particular species of mint.
